Just a Midwestern Kid
I am a big Wilco fan. I’ve been one for many years. This review of lead singer Jeff Tweedy’s memoir is not for people like me. We will all read it and give it five stars. We know many of these public stories and all of the characters are familiar to me. This book colors in the lines. The question is whether non-fans would enjoy this memoir. At its core, the book is the story of a man who finds his humanity and discovers what his family really means to him through his writing. Jeff grew up in the Midwest, had some early success, continued to achieve more, even with a major detour through addiction and recovery. It happened to take place in the music industry.
