I recently heard a cover of the Billy Joel song, Just the Way You Are. It was by Barry White, no less. The original song came out in 1977, which was prime Bar Mitzvah attending age for me. While few pre-teen kids slow danced to this ballad, this song still brought to mind wide lapel suits with an unbuttoned shirt collar.
