Not too many years ago, if someone needed to find your house, you needed to give them directions. One person, one set of directions based on where they were coming from. If you were sending directions to multiple people, you needed to send directions from different geographic directions (from east, west, etc.). But these days, all you need to provide is your address. It seems that everyone, or every age, now goes online to find directions. It happens locally. It happens on the road. Everyone walks into a motel holding directions printed from the web.
As we have now become so dependent on these printouts, here’s an example of what happens when Google Maps goes bad from xkcd.com.
