William S. Preston and Theodore “Ted” Logan were the high school protagonists in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. With the help of their time traveling mentor they discovered that they basically saved the world. It’s a heavy burden to put on a couple of kids from California. The writers of the movie are considering a sequel–the second one–where our heroes are in their fifties and married with kids, but still don’t have any idea how their unrealized heavy metal band changes the world. I can relate to this level of pressure. I had a high opinion of myself in high school and I thought I would change the world.
