I have videos of my mom on my phone. I watch them and forget that I can't go visit her. She is so vibrant and alive. She has so much attitude. Even towards the end. They are from various points in her journey through cognitive decline to Alzheimer's and from home to memory care to hospice. It all happened so fast.
I have voice mails of her on my phone too. They are from the early days of the COVID quarantine. I listen to them and want to call her back. I don't want to leave her questions unanswered. When is her check from the government coming? Have I paid her bills? What does this email mean?
