Distance Stalking
The cat is chasing a bug and the bug doesn't even know it. The large, floppy bug—which Google tells me is a crane fly—continually bumps into the ceiling as it flies, making its flying ability seem uncoordinated. The cat is zipping and zagging along the floor, definitely chasing a bug that is oblivious to it. And eight feet above it.
The cat is waiting for the bug to make a mistake or for the air currents to change, driving the bug to the floor.
Suddenly, the cat pins the bug against the baseboard. And the game is over.
