I have had a digital alarm clock since high school. The large red numbers glow at night and I can easily see them from across the room. I have always been able to see them from across the room. I see those numbers more and more because I wake up more during the night.
It was strange not to see those numbers in their familar place as I woke during the night. The clock was unplugged and in a box ready for the movers. I have two other ways to see what time it is during the night—my watch and my phone—but the clock is easier. I woke up, didn't know what time it was, rolled over and went back to sleep. Morning came and I checked my watch.
