This is my first mother's day without mom. I have known many others—most recently Deborah—who have experienced this, but it is new for me. Even last year when she was suffering with Alzheimer's, we were able to have a Zoom call the day before and visit two weeks later. Now we just have memories.
And pictures and videos. But a lot of memories. That's what I'll treasure. It's how I'll keep her in my heart today.
And each tear that falls from my eyes today will have a little bit of mom in it.
Tell someone you love them today. Give them a hug. And remember your mom or someone else who has passed.
