On my way to Birmingham, Alabama I passed through Etowah County. I made sure that I did not speed because I have seen what the inside of the county jail is like there. There's a show where people volunteer to get sent to jail so they can report on the conditions.
Guess what? Most of them can't take it and they tap out. The conditions are bad.
