It may seem like OCD, but it's really about efficiency. I park in the same spot, or at least the same area, when I go to the same places. The grocery store, the gym, big box stores. I even used to always park in the same row in long term parking at the Indianapolis airport. The reason is so that I don't have to remember where I parked my car. I walk to where my car usually is and I find it nearby. If it is not in its usual spot or row, I often can't it. And I have to resort to pushing the alarm button on my key fob.
