I keep a notebook of ideas for these regular—nearly daily—posts. I used to use Evernote to capture my thoughts, but I moved to an analog system. Flipping the pages of my notebook I see that only about a quarter to a third of the ideas are checked off. This means that most of what I write down never gets published here.
Some of it may be uninteresting to me when I go to write a post, and there are even times when I don’t even remember what I meant by the note in my notebook. The goal is write everything down and create a pipeline of ideas for my posts. I should never be at a loss for what to write. There is always a backlog of suggestions.
Incidentally, my pipeline of three to four times the number of ideas to posts is similar to the ratio of a sales pipeline of opportunities to closed-won deals.
