I first saw it in a photo I had taken of the ocean. The curve of colors up in the sky.
Red. Orange. Yellow. Green. Blue. Indigo. Violet.
I took another photo of the rainbow way up in the sky. There were no rain clouds around. The sky was clear except for some wisps of cirrus clouds. It is ice inside these light clouds that refract the light, causing a rainbow.
