When I began using deodorant as a pre-teen, my only choice was spray. And Right Guard was the preferred brand. There was not a thriving men's hygiene industry at that time. There was little guidance on how much to use, so I was nearly asphyxiated by the cloud I created in the bathroom. The directions only told me how far away to spray from and I didn't want to smell. Wasn't that the point?
After a lifetime of roll-ons, sticks, gels, I have gone back to a spray deodorant. I use a lot less now.
