When touching up product photos using Photoshop the most important thing to remember is that it must be subtle. Especially the highlights added to give the item dimension. I have noticed that the store brand cans of black olives and black beans have images on the labels that have been heavy-handedly highlighted in Photoshop. The olives are worse. The look like the tops are covered with a reflective white sheet. Not appetizing at all.
